Sunday, October 1, 2023 - I had not had a ROAR from this vineyard for an extended period, but in recent notes I have commented how this vineyard has emerged as one of my favorites in the ROAR portfolio. This did not disappoint with dense, darker fruit counterbalanced by a great level of acidity. A bit brawny and full of dark cherry, black plum and red berry notes. The ROAR wines always showcase the Terroir in their wines and this is no exception. As others commented, this certainly has the stuffing to lay down for an extended period, as the structure is there. However, no regrets on my part for popping this open on the early side.
