Saturday, January 21, 2023 - The cork crumbles as I pulled it out of this bottle, but the wine inside was in excellent condition.

Visually, there’s significant bricking and fading in color.

There’s still some cassis on the nose after 36 years, along with notes of bell pepper, olive, sweaty cured meats, and trampled leaves.

The palate is savory, with seemingly youthful acidity and finely resolved tannin. A great bottle.
