Thursday, June 17, 2010 - This is nice. Medium straw gold in color, beautiful and fragrant nose. Still retains that core of piercing acidity that screams muscadet but the bottle age seems to have rounded out all of the edges and added some viscosity... it adds a nice smooth note to the wine that perhaps makes this a little more flexible with food than a younger muscadet. Really long finish that lingers in the mouth. Paired it with green tomatillo tialpia.. went together quite nicely. A good wine that makes a case for cellaring a few bottles of the upper end muscadets every year.
