on the nose rather closed, not very expressive, but got better with time, raw, and more character than the cepparello 09 we just had before. not so artificial and more honest. you can feel and sense the nebbiolo grape in its purest form. this is more my style than he cepparello..

very lineal and sharp, really well done, this has everything of a great traditional barolo.
deep and honest on the palate this has so much acidity and high tannins. and this is sooooo much fun. cant get enough from this wine… i have to admit i am a rinaldi-fanboy, but this such a nice drinkflow, so deeply layered (depth not width). this is outstanding.
as it got revealed we all were surprised that it was that old, but of course from the magnum the wine ages more slowly.
