Friday, March 3, 2023 - I'd hold a little longer as this is pretty intense right now, but loads of cranberries and currants, tanniny red fruit, lots of pine and alpine forest, and a little sappy. Hint of bitter citrus? unripe orange? Tannins are light but a little intrusive at the moment, they settle down after some time open. Totally different ballgame than the 2016 reserve I'd previously had, but very happy I came back to find more of his wines.
