  • gorgeous Pinot, absolutely fabulous winemaking, like the 2020 this one of the best sulfur free wines I've ever tasted

aromas of dried red fruits, cranberry, cherry, redcurrant, some dark fruit too, pine forest, a little citrus and beets, a little beef jerky and roasted mushrooms... light and open-knit, fresh acidity, but rather soft overall, the tannins are super fine, the fruit rebounds beautifully on the finish, this has bounce and verve, it is lovely

feels a little fragile but in a cool and stable cellar you should be able to follow it for many years, bravissimo

  • I'd hold a little longer as this is pretty intense right now, but loads of cranberries and currants, tanniny red fruit, lots of pine and alpine forest, and a little sappy. Hint of bitter citrus? unripe orange? Tannins are light but a little intrusive at the moment, they settle down after some time open. Totally different ballgame than the 2016 reserve I'd previously had, but very happy I came back to find more of his wines.
