Wednesday, November 15, 2023 - Dinner with the wine group (Sole Ristorante, San Mateo): Light ruby, age-appropriate bricking; aromatic, incredibly pretty, red fruited, strawberry, floral, roses, not actually much tar; palate is light bodied, medium-plus alcohol, well balanced tannins, red fruited, a bit of tamari; finish is medium length. Very nice, perfectly balanced Barolo. This was easily the highlight of the evening. 93
