Saturday, April 27, 2024 - Portuguese white wine from Monção and Melgaço: Alvarinho. 12,5 % alcohol. Fermented and aged, on lees, in stainless steel tanks.

Consumed over two days.

Pale grayish/golden color.

Fresh and delicate aromas of ripe pear, lemon, vanilla, white flowers and minerals. Powerful and fresh flavors of minerals, lime fruit, grapefruit and unripe green apples.

Dry. Medium body. Fresh acidity. Okay balance. Good structure. No complexity.

Short finish with grapefruit.

Day one: A refreshing white wine with a lot of minerality and citrus. Works good both in and with food. 84/100

Day two: Riper and more floral. Better with food (salmon) than on its own. Refreshing and pure. Quite okay. 86/100
