85 Points

Monday, November 8, 2010 - Wonderful plush, deep garnet color with some heat coming from the glass out of
the gate. Initial entry featured blackcherry, spicy raspberry and berry. Second
level offered anise, bay leaf and tar. A finish marked by dried herbs and cocoa
with a charred oak base. The second night this wine transformed into a more
herbal, sage-like red and had lost most of its structure. A memorable wine
when I bought at the winery upon release, is well past prime and should
have been consumed young. Drink now
