2022 Château d'Aqueria Tavel

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Friday, May 19, 2023 - 50% grenache noir, 20% syrah, 10% clairette, 10% mourvèdre, 5% cinsault, 5% bourboulenc.
The 2022 vintage is quite lovely with a nose that reminds me somewhat of the 2021. The palate on the 2022 is however a bit brighter with more vibrant acidity, yet it is also noticeably more bitter in the finish. The bitterness isn't off-putting but it does make it less gluggable than the previous vintage and calls more to be accompanied by food. Perhaps it just needs to settle a bit more in the bottle. In summary though, I would gladly buy/drink this again.
