This is such a great and versatile rose. More full bodied than most roses It was a great aperitif and a great pairing for a Caesar salad! Can’t go wrong with this bottle, absolute gem Such a versatile bottle

The first AOC for Rose, and that AOCs most storied property. Fresh, but with also some guts to it. And has a bit of a bitter, herby quality to the back of the palate. This with blacked fish is apparently just amazing.

50% grenache noir, 20% syrah, 10% clairette, 10% mourvèdre, 5% cinsault, 5% bourboulenc. The 2022 vintage is quite lovely with a nose that reminds me somewhat of the 2021. The palate on the 2022 is however a bit brighter with more vibrant acidity, yet it is also noticeably more bitter in the finish. The bitterness isn't off-putting but it does make it less gluggable than the previous vintage and calls more to be accompanied by food. Perhaps it just needs to settle a bit more in the bottle. In summary though, I would gladly buy/drink this again.
APPEARANCE: Color & intensity: deep pink
NOSE: Intensity: medium (+) Aromas: peach Melba, strawberry, cherry candy, blood orange, cranberry, hints of white pepper and crushed stone Development: developing
PALATE: Sweetness: dry Acidity: medium Alcohol: high Body: medium (+) Intensity: medium (+) Flavors: strawberries & cream, cherry candy, redcurrant, pink grapefruit, orange zest, crushed stone, hint of white pepper Finish: medium (+)
CONCLUSIONS: Quality level: very good Potential for ageing: can drink now, but has good potential for further ageing
