Wednesday, July 3, 2013 - Consumed at Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa, decanted for about 20 minutes. Very thin and tight for Barolo, especially at this age. Color looked more like a Pinot Noir with strawberry hue rather than inky purple. Nose was good with fruit and earth. Initially very biting tannins and thin texture. Finish was softer and it did soften overall towards the end of the bottle. Not at all what I expected from a 20 year old high quality Barolo.
