Sunday, April 30, 2006 - An opaque deep ruby color was a good hint of what was to come. The nose was darker than the last wine, with cassis, asian spices, baking chocolate and blackberries. A brooding nose, almost meaty. The palate was full bodied and brooding as well. At first holding close to the vest, but then releasing darkfruits, some sage, mineral, and bitter chocolate. This is a layered wine in need of some time. 92+ for me. Most others liked it more than I.
