Friday, April 28, 2023 - En Primeur campaign for the 2022 vintage Day Seven (Bordeaux): A little more austere and serious after the La Chapelle - black fruits are slight concentrated with a savoury underpin and a touch of red berry (raspberry jam) and a little menthol note here as well. Medium plus intensity acidity, plenty of woody though talc textured tannins, plummy fruit, touch of alcohol warmth helps carry the finish long though a slightly bitter note joins. Hmm.
