Monday, April 24, 2023 - En Primeur campaign for the 2022 vintage Day Three (Bordeaux): Blackcurrant cordial strays to the jammy, sweet spice, a little cedar, slightly ripe plums in support as well as a little caramel. Medium plus intensity acidity, ripe blackcurrant, plenty of woody tannins with a savoury underpin, plummy notes join on the finish with some alcohol warmth...actually the finish proves quite warm. Bit big for me.
