Thursday, October 27, 2016 - On the nose: Perfume, red apples, caramel, menthol.
On the palate: Candy, white flowers, tutti-frutti, menthol, somewhat sticky.
Medium finish
I had it blind and did not pick it as a champagne. I am puzzeled....
I wonder if this is a cuvée later or earlier than the ones I've tried in the past?

1/11/2017 2:46:00 PM - I've just opened a bottle of the 'laid in the cellars in 2009' and it seems very tight compared to previous bottles I've been drinking. My bottle says that it was disgorged in 2016, which suggests that it's been on the lees for a bout the same time as a bottle of Krug!
The bottles I had recently had been disgorged in 2014 and showed much better. While 2008 was a great year it was also a very austere one. That combined with a recent disgorgement may explain some of the tightness.

2/13/2017 12:59:00 AM - SLIMES exactly what I was thinking. and also being recently disgorged the dosage sticks out a bit. need some time to integrate.
