90 Points

Sunday, December 20, 2020 - Laid in cellar: 2015 (base vintage 2014); Disgorged: 2018. Notes from memory: this lacks the complexity, depth, and character of previous bottlings that saw considerably longer lees aging. By comparison, this bottling tastes embryonic and disjointed. Despite it's current shortcomings, it has the elements to blossom in time. I'll be cellaring my remaining bottles of this disgorgement for a few years. This has been one of my go-to Champagnes, but with the recent changes to aging/disgorgement, I'll be searching for new Champagnes to enjoy in 2021 and beyond.
