Friday, January 21, 2022 - An ancient bottling (see 3 images posted), no degorgement or lot info indicated. Clear though cloudy at base of upright bottle with fairly deep golden color, modest effervescence. Red apple and cinnamon nose, stony pear and acidity added on the palate. Very grippy but pleasing pear finish. I love the recent bottlings with published disgorgement info and find this to be an excellent showing for a much older version.

    1/22/2022 11:42:00 AM - Retrieved empty bottle from recycling bin, found 972304 printed on reverse side of front label (as pictured). Am guessing April 23rd, 1997 disgorgement, not quite as old as I had suspected.
