Tuesday, August 3, 2010 - Very golden in color, on the nose this is obviously a California chardonnay. There is a lot of butterscotch and vanilla. On the palate, the oak again is prominent, although it is fairly well balanced. The dominant fruit is Golden Delicious apple, and there might be a bit of pear. There is not a lot of acidity here, but this is still a flavor profile I like, and it is very versatile with food. For $8 delivered, one cannot expect greatness. This is a plenty serviceable wine, albeit pretty generic.
