Very golden in color, on the nose this is obviously a California chardonnay. There is a lot of butterscotch and vanilla. On the palate, the oak again is prominent, although it is fairly well balanced. The dominant fruit is Golden Delicious apple, and there might be a bit of pear. There is not a lot of acidity here, but this is still a flavor profile I like, and it is very versatile with food. For $8 delivered, one cannot expect greatness. This is a plenty serviceable wine, albeit pretty generic.

My wife and I paired with Snow Crab legs. Grapefruit, grass, and lemon on the nose and palate. Buttery mouth feel with no discernible oak. Certainly a serviceable wine but there are better Chards out their at the $10 price point. Pass next time.

a decent chardonnay with noticeable but pleasant oaky character - not overdone, but not subtle either. The fruit balanced it well, with moderate length. Probably no reason to lay this down, since there is a relatively low acid balance, but enjoy now. An excellent value.
