Wednesday, December 31, 2014 - OMG that's what burgundy used to taste like when I could afford it. Dark ruby in the glass, a touch of volatile acidity that quickly blew off, then this cascade of aromas and flavors, red fruits, spices, oak, a bit of funky forest floor, all knit together. Silky mouthfeel with fine tannins, long finish. Felt ripe and ready to me, but we were drinking from a faster maturing 375ml bottle.
