Wednesday, July 8, 2009 - A fabulous nose of asphalt, green peppercorn and beef blood overlaid by bright red fruits (cherry, raspberry), a little earth and a floral edge. Fat and creamy on the palate which adds a chocolate note. A very peppery finish which has some slightly coarse tannin and shows a little heat. Needs another couple of years for that finish to settle down.
