Sunday, December 17, 2023 - Deep, dark reddish-purple; essentially opaque in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & black cassis with overtones of earthy/dusty & dark cocoa notes, floral notes of violets, spices, herbs, coffee, minerals, some balsamic notes & a hint vanilla. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, lush & unctuous, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with dark cocoa, spices, earthy, minerals, herbs, vanilla & a hint of oak/vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting and extended airing but develop further with additional aging. An indicative blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon & 10% Petit Verdot. A wonderful wine!
