Initially, I thought this was a bit tight but clearly well made, with a sleek, medium bodied structure. There was a good balance of sweet fruit and some smokiness on the palate. With air, an herbal element emerged that had me thinking there might be cab franc in the blend (I have no idea whether or not that's true). I'd be curious to see how this might drink with 4-5 more years of maturity, although it's certainly not an infant at this stage.
