balsamic, herbs: lovage leaves, minerals, subtle red and black fruits, almost no barrique;
despite the obvious power this is remarkably elegant and sophisticated: supple tannins, no bitterness, almost refreshing acidity, again balsamic almost Italian twist with herbs, black fruit, very nice, you can taste it's a 2003 but there is none of the overripeness here, excellent PN! 14% but where? alcohol seems to be an afterthought in this one

    9/3/2014 3:20:00 AM - Hi! Did you know that your tasting note was officially used in order to promote a wine on a German online shop? I am not sure whether you are fine with this. This is why I am telling you. Look here: http://www.wine-in-black.de/product/koehler-ruprecht-philippi-pinot-noir-trocken-r-2003-185. I have the PDF here in case you cannot access this any more (or at all). Cheers, Nic

    9/10/2014 2:29:00 PM - hi Nic, thanks for the link, looks a bit desperate using a cellartracker TN as a marketing tool. Anyway, I'll have to read the CT terms more closely, but i guess legaly it isn't my TN anymore, aren't all utterings here owned by CT? Your TN on the K-R 2003 PN R is excellent!

In the end it is "real people" here and no (probably biased) single persons who rate the wines. But single tasting notes, that was new to me! In the end your TN was good enough to promote a wine on a website. So thanks for the kudos but they obviously belong to you. ;-) You pretty much hit the nail's head.
