Thursday, April 18, 2024 - Blind Champagne Tasting (Basanti in San Juan Capistrano, CA (South OC)): I think I have picked the correct wine here for my note. Disgorged March 2023, 65% Chard and 35% Pinot Noir. Really loved the aromatic, and this was especially true as this wine competed blind with an array of very good blind Champagne. Moderate complexity. Layered with a juicy, fruit-forward style. Mainly a palate wine, with some anise.
