Sunday, March 7, 2021 - The fill was into the neck and the cork was pristine; double decanted 1.5 hours before dinner. Purple core turning towards garnet at the rim. Confident bouquet, with scents of cassis, roasted game, crushed stone, black truffle and cigar box. Medium to full bodied, rich, ripe but noticeable tannins, good acidity, savory mid palate, impressive balance and depth. A great wine that is still an adolescent; this should continue to improve for at least 20 years. Great stuff!
