Friday, January 13, 2023 - Friends...keep holding your 2005s please. Everyone says it but of course you're tempted to try one. Well, this is yet another tale of a 2005 that just still isn't ready. Charmes Chambertin is not my favorite vineyard but I was intrigued by the 100 year + vines. The wine was good but not particularly memorable. It still felt a little closed with some unresolved tannins. I'm not a huge fan of the producer but I expected more.
