Saturday, April 13, 2019 - Screwcap, 14.5% alc. Full yellow.

Lemon, quince, grapefruit, toasty nutmeg oak, peach, sea spray, cream, grilled nuts, a hint of alcohol heat, and fly spray.

The toasty oak and alcohol bite the mid palate a little, but it finishes with clean lemony freshness. Almost has a red-fruited sweetness to it, which adds to the plush mouthfeel. Honey pineapple. More lush on day 2.

Opinion: Lovely chardonnay, drinking beautifully now. Nice match with Chicken Shashlik.
