Wednesday, July 5, 2006 - Opened my first of 6 '01s and it's easy to see what the fuss is about. Completely delicious on the first day and even better on the second. The nose and flavor profile of this wine have been very nicely described by other CTs but what is special about this wine, and so many other great ones, is the way it feels in the mouth; the combination of great concentration with a velvety or glycerin-like texture. Just makes you want to drink more. Appeals to pros and novices alike. If you have more than one, it's definitely time to start drinking them.
