Friday, March 21, 2014 - Decanted three hours before drinking. Inky purple in color. Molasses / maple syrup in the nose. In the mouth, hints of blueberry, plum and other dark fruit pervade, with little alcohol remaining. So very smooth. A slight peppery flavor at the end and a very reserved finish. Much more mellow that the Masseto tasted immediately preceding it. Wine of the night by a narrow margin.
