92 Points

Saturday, April 14, 2018 - Darker garnet. Full nose of cassis, cedar, black currant, plum pits, and pungent floral notes. Ripe, vivacious fruit on the palate with layers of red currant, plum, and blackberry cut with bits of tobacco and earth. Moderate acidity and filed off tannin. Longer finish of pure red plum fruit, stone, and sweet grip. Still has mainly primary fruit to offer at this stage with complexity seemingly to come. Will ultimately be quite excellent but aging at a glacial pace. From a 375.
