Sunday, February 2, 2020 - From a bottle purchased upon release and pristinely cellared, this blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot and 3% Malbec (73% Estate fruit) retains a youthful deep ruby/red robe. After three hours in decanter, it unfolds a bouquet of black currants, lavender potpourri, anise, tobacco, fig and graphite. Full-bodied, low in acidity and with plentiful but supple residual tannins, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose and throws no significant alcoholic heat (13.9%). Plush on the mid-palate and finishing long, this is pure hedonism! Those holding well-cellared bottles should be able to enjoy them throughout the decade. Drink now-2030.
