Thursday, March 26, 2009 - This wine was opened and poured. This is drinking well now and a big relief after recently tasting the 2004 version of this that did now show well. This wine shows elegant aromatics of red cherry, spices and floral notes. There is wonderful elegance on the bouquet coupled with good complexity and enough accessibility to drink well now. The color is medium ruby that is youthful and correct. The medium bodied palate relies on refinement and balance. The wine does shut and become more stern an hour after opening. This is wine that drinks well now and should benefit from a couple years of bottle age.
