Friday, November 6, 2015 - At our house with Fran & Fran for dinner, drank after a Russian River Pinot. Paired with a Salmon/pesto and my mushroom risotto with white truffle oil. Wine was decanted for 90 minutes, drank over an hour.
Consistent with prior notes: "Medium purple/velvet color...Palate was dark fruits, candied cherry and raspberry, dried herbs, cedar, spice and pepper. The pepper spice and garrigue came through..."
These bottles seemed better/richer than prior tastings. Usseglio is a reliable CdP producer. Nice wine from a good vintage that's in a good spot right now. Really great wine with Fall flavors/foods...
