Friday, March 15, 2024 - Inaugural release. Highly fragrant nose and a beautiful ruby color, the wine gives a distinct strawberry note mixed with some cotten candy without becoming too sweet. Nimble in the glass. Medium body and a satisfying finish. This wine demonstrates a deft touch with an unfamiliar grape for the winemaker who said he wants to emulate the methodologies of Henri Jayer. I’ve heard of that guy. I think Roy is off to a good start. Label artwork by his wife, Jen. Recommended! Update: I drank this over 4 nights. Too candied on day 2. But on day 4 it was becoming more integrated with the fruit rounding out in a way that demonstrates it wants some cellaring.
