This wine to me did not seem harsh or tannic at all, but tonight revealed a subtle elegance and balance.
Medium well integrated tannins, soft black cherry fruit, balanced wood and veg play. and some grape stem and seed thing going on, also some leather eucalyptus and hierba buena and clove or nutmeg my head is spinning trying to put my finger on it.
With a little old world character that crept in more and more as the wine got more air.
This should continue to improve in the cellar. Next time I'll decant for 4-5 hours.
