Saturday, October 22, 2016 - Wines that don't suck at Steak and Vine (Rhys, Insignia, Pape Clement, Figeac, Lynch Bages, Les Pavots, Rieussec and others) (Steak and Vine): Ever so slightly cloudy garnet color.

High tones (flirting with VA) nose of green peppercorn, essence of (i.e. loads) of cedar, fresh cut flowers and tanned leather.

All black fruits initially on the palate. Mid-weight style with layered fruit, stone and beautiful fine tannins. Gets better and better with air and some red fruits also show through. If drinking now give a good breathe.
