90 Points

Monday, January 26, 2009 - First night: popped and poured over a few hours. Rather light in the glass, a pretty ruby red. Immediately struck by the floral notes in the nose - acacia maybe - and how feminine the wine seems. Graceful and nicely balanced immediately, but with limited depth. Over time in the glass, the floral notes retreat and darker fruit flavors come to the fore, black cherry, some raspberry. Corked and finished on the second night and the dark fruits predominate with a distinctive spice on the tail end, a much more substantial wine and less feminine. Overall, a very nice bottle and feels true to the grape.
