Sunday, January 28, 2018 - medium garnet, with a lot of fine sediments as this bottle did not seem stored in best conditions - cork soaked through and significantly deteriorated, which I carefully removed with the help of a Durand, and recorked the bottle with a younger cork; tannins well resolved, pronounced nose and pretty intense; plum, mulberry, wolfberry, hawthorne, mint, Chinese herbs, leathery, smoked duck, finished a bit short; pleasantly surprised that the wine managed to hold well despite age and less than ideal storage conditions; a very good wine that needs to be consumed quickly - not too long of a life left
