Saturday, March 10, 2018 - The nose was dark, rich and intense with a massive wave of ripe black fruit backed by sweet tobacco, lavender, crushed stone, hints of undergrowth and animal musk. On the palate, I found silky textures with a ripe fruit persona, showing cherry and blackberry, with notes of dark chocolate, brown sugar and confectionary spices. It finished long and spicy with lingering blackberry, a twang of bitter herbs and the slightest acid-heat burn. It's a large-scaled wine, but showing amazing balance.
