Tuesday, December 1, 2009 - Deep red color. Aromas of roasted fruit, berry pie filling, blueberry, strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry. On the palate, this shows a bit of raisining, but is dominated by a jammy blue/black berry fruit profile. Riper than past years' efforts and it shows in the flavors and the heat on the finish. Gritty tannins show up at the end. Will likely integrate with a year in the bottle, but the roasted/raisin notes will keep this from being a great Dusi in my book. Drink.
