Tuesday, November 9, 2010 - Last bottle of 4. Wonderful nose, reminiscent of the sea shore, but also some ripe white fruit tones and then a little bit of citrus squeezed on top, maybe a little hay as well. It's a 90+ nose. Palate starts of strong with nice buttered lemon and then the acidity takes over on the back end. Finishes a touch short, keeping it out of the outstanding range. But this nothing to turn your nose up at. It's still classic Chablis prem cru at $20. As others have pointed out here, this will paire well with sea food, particularly shellfish, either raw or done lightly. Will not stand up to a heavy sauce though.
