Community Tasting Note

85 Points

Thursday, December 26, 2013 - Clear, dark purple red, fading slightly to the rim. Clean nose, cassis dominant, but some green notes too. Thin to medium palate, tannins not that well integrated, fruits fading a bit, acid still a bit dominant. Medium finish. Disappointing. However, second tasting seven hours later showed the wine more positively, had filled out a bit and come together more in the glass. Seemed it needed a lot more contact with air than I had given it initially (2 hours in a decanter). So I've upped my score slightly on this basis, but it's still not anything to write home about.
