Monday, December 30, 2013 - Fourth bottle of a case - never seen a temp above 53 since acquisition upon release. Like many 2003's basically a fruit bomb, although a fine one. Beautiful cabby cassisy black fruit across the mid palate without much if any complexity ( and it will never in my view develop complexity) - no cigar box, no cedar, etc. - just rich tasty fruit. Like many 2003's in my experience (twice with this wine) the fruit bomb makes it a wow drink for those who are not particularly knowledgeable about wine, but it also makes it a fine and acceptable drink for those who are very much into wine. Has surprising length given its pedigree but at the end I get that tip of the tongue acid note that I associated with acidifying. Have really well stored bottles of this wine? They will keep just fine.

Almost reminds me of a poor man's Rausan Segla.
