Saturday, April 28, 2012 - A Ten Year Retrospective of Chateau Pontet Canet with Alfred Tesseron (Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Chicago): Opaque black/crimson color. Aromas of violets and lavender, blackberry, currants and vanilla. I really enjoyed the floral aspects of this vintage compared to the others. Medium- to full-bodied, with flavors of vanilla, blackberry, currants and mint. Long finish.
