Sunday, December 20, 2009 - Thick ruby-garnet color. Viscous. Nose has a creamy texture, with fresh cherry juice, smoke, rubber, mint, Tabasco sauce, white and black pepper. Palate is smooth and full-bodied, with smoky black cherry, salty flavors, pleasant acidity, average length, and a faint rubber/plastic component on the finish. Oak is very well integrated at this point. Very young, very big wine, and needed a 12-hour decant.
