Community Tasting Note

Thursday, November 19, 2009 - Quite dark reddish-purple in color. Maybe a little red fruit on the nose, but predominantly peppery, spicey aromas, with lots of volatile alcohol (for those old enough to remember- this has the effect of Vicks Vapo-Rub!). Palate echos nose...small amt. of fruit, but mostly just pepper. Significant tannin on finish. A good (and typical) example of of a low priced Spanish tempranillo...What? It's supposed to taste like Pinot Noir? Hhmmmm...
