Tuesday, December 16, 2008 - 1 hr decant; served chilled @ ~55F. Very pale gold color. Damped on the nose but expressing honey, yellow raisins, apple scents.... Unfocused and blah blah blah on the palate, this comes across very sweet and 'sugarfied' (think RS). Kind of like a good white grape-juice, there are a lot of fruit concentrate flavors coming through -- honeyed apples, yellow-raisins, and other tropical flavors that emerge in the mouth-swirls; dried apricots appear on short, unimpressive finish. Again, this wine lack focus, is too low on acid, is certainly not dry, and is very simplistic. That said, it does offer some nice flavors and refreshing tastes without turning overly cloying. It's simple and it's fine and dandy for the casual drinker looking for something sweet to wet their (should I say wimpy?? -no) palate.
