A decent reisling...started tart and slightly dry, but as the glass sat, it opened up to a fuller, sweeter reisling. Not a heavy flavour but great during the summer daytime.

YES. Cheap ad cheerful. Light straw colour, a slight reisling nose. In mouth what surprises me is the sweetness, balanced by a bit of acidity; but very little dryness. The length disappear in a quick puff of blue smoke. Fine under the tree in the back garden during summer. But, don't take it to a dinner in Capt. Bob Parker's house. At this price level, I would say Oz-Reisling's offer better quality for the price.

Aroma is weak, just not energetic tonight. Palate is a tart apple, lemon, and grapefruit mixture, perhaps unequal percentages, however. Still has the effervescence, with an granny smith finish. Residual sugar noticeable, OK with the right pairing.

A decent quaffer drunk with home made Choucroute. Pale straw in color. Peach and crushed stones on subtle nose. Peach, apple and chalk on slightly sweet palate. For less than $ 10.00, a decent wine with no major flaws.

Served at our Boxing day meal. Jack liked the off-dry expression; Andrea thought it was too sweet and preferred the other R we served, the Trimbach. This is still a nice selection for spicy foods, just not for a dry-palate-liking person with typical turkey meals.

Pleasantly off-dry for our spicy Thai meal tonight. The usual light and fruity expression of a Riesling, with just enough effervescence to slay the spicy Pad Kee Mao (a spicy Pad See Ew), very nice.

Very pretty yellow golden color. Nose of rubber and lychee, with little hints of pineapple. Harmonious juice of tropical fruits along with nice mineral notes. Finishes quite long with nice ginger and cinnamon notes.

This Riesling is very "blah". It is half dry to off-dry; simliar to the Kabinett style of German Rieslings. The mineral notes are not subtle, they are strong. It tastes like Perrier Mineral Water without the carbonation and with added alcohol. Very little flavor. I'm disappointed in Chateau Ste. Michelle, since they collaborate with Dr. Loosen to produce the great "Eroica Riesling" which is leaps and bounds above this one.

Sweet honey smell. Taste was unimpressive from the get-go. Not to say this can't be an enjoyable wine but I instantly recognized a lesser quality compared to other rieslings I've had. Almost tastes like it came out of a box, or even worse that it was produced by Fetzer! Enjoyable enough but nothing to write home about.

like an old friend you don't see very often or talk to much, but when you get together it's like not a day has passed, just how I remember you, refreshing, fizzy hints, off-dry and not over-the-top, lots of pear on the nose, ripe apple, green grape juice, melon, and citrus palate with a crisp, inviting acidity, not bad on day one and not bad on day two, going back to my previous metaphor, someone you might think will be awkward to talk to after so much time has passed but once the conversation sets in, you're glad you've dialed, I have a bottle of this once in a great while- always nice

One of the eight Rieslings ChSM offers. Aroma is of apricot with a touch of melon. Taste of pear, peach, apricot, and cantaloupe with a brief phase of crisp and dry notes. Overall a great wine for the price, good pairing with salsa, grilled cheese, guacamole, and salad.

Lime, orange marmalade and a hint of green apple on the nose. Has a good dose of residual sugar, but also has adequate acidity to lift the apricot, honeydew melon and lime flavors. Simple, but solid for the price. Gotta give some respect to CSM for making a wine of reasonable quality for 7 bucks a bottle. This would be a good choice at an Asian restaurant if you don't want beer.

I've been disappointed with all of California Riesling I've tasted and I was expecting more from a WA producer, the same maker of Eroica that I really liked. This one disappoints. It's on par with CA Rieslings. Pear, Apple on the nose, short finish, too much heat, pretty good acidity, awkward transition between mid palate to back end. It's drinkable, but why?

Decent wine for the price. Definitely taste the peach, but the sort of watermelon jolly rancher taste and sweetness overwhelmed everything. By the second glass it was just too sweet.

Fresh cut grass and tropical fruit on the nose. Very refreshing and a good match for turkey tetrazzini. Some sweetness but with good matching acid on the mouth. Reminiscent of sugared passionfruit. Fairly clean acid finish makes it very moreish but does become cloying after a couple of glasses.

Lots of citrus fruit aromas. Flavors of red apple, pear, mango. Soft in the mouth yet crisp and refreshing. Semi-sweet wine. A very easy drinking and moderate riesling. Fruit lasts long in the mouth. This would be a sure-fire crowd pleaser, especially if people had not yet delved into rieslings.

1 hr decant; served chilled @ ~55F. Very pale gold color. Damped on the nose but expressing honey, yellow raisins, apple scents.... Unfocused and blah blah blah on the palate, this comes across very sweet and 'sugarfied' (think RS). Kind of like a good white grape-juice, there are a lot of fruit concentrate flavors coming through -- honeyed apples, yellow-raisins, and other tropical flavors that emerge in the mouth-swirls; dried apricots appear on short, unimpressive finish. Again, this wine lack focus, is too low on acid, is certainly not dry, and is very simplistic. That said, it does offer some nice flavors and refreshing tastes without turning overly cloying. It's simple and it's fine and dandy for the casual drinker looking for something sweet to wet their (should I say wimpy?? -no) palate.

Drank this with Thanksgiving dinner. Pale yellow in the glass with a nose of stone fruit and citrus. I picked up peach and lemon in particular. This wine was unusual for me in that the notes I got on the nose carried through on the palate and the finish. This had a nice mouthfeel, and I think the lemon featured more prominently on the palate than the peach. Both were present on the finish, which was short. This compares favorably to the Indian Wells and Cold Creek Rieslings. I don't think the flavor intensity is at the same level, which is why I gave this an 85. Still, and $7.50 I think this is a great deal, and represents a nice QPR.
